Our Story

Built from a passion for Nepalese coffee.

Everest Coffee Mill Pvt. Ltd. is a premier Himalayan Arabica coffee company located in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Nepal. For over a decade, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality roasted ground coffee and unroasted green Arabica beans: grown on our own farm and sourced from Nepal's mid-hill districts.

We own and operate a farm of approximately 100 Ropani, producing single-source Arabica on our own land. We also work with cooperative partner farms across Nepal's mid-hill districts (Gulmi, Lalitpur, Syangja, Palpa, Ilam, Kavre, Kaski and Baglung), providing farmers with technical training and support and marketing all the coffee they produce. Every batch is tracked to its origin.

MD Surya Kumar Lama established Everest Coffee Mill with a passion to showcase Nepalese coffee to the world.

2018

Own Farm

Acquired and developed our own ~100 Ropani farm, enabling single-source production with full batch traceability.

Grew from a small roasting facility into one of the leading coffee companies in Nepal, driven by commitment to quality.

Exporting single-source Himalayan Arabica to Japan, Taiwan, the USA and Europe (by air or sea) while continuing to invest in cooperative farming across Nepal's mid-hill districts.

33 years in the coffee industry

Surya founded Everest Coffee Mill in 2013 after more than 15 years in the coffee business. A trained specialist with extensive knowledge of coffee production, processing, and export, he leads the company with a vision to make Nepalese coffee recognised globally. He is also a music enthusiast.
